Guru: Smt. Charulatha . K
Guru Smt. Charulatha, a distinguished graduate in Physics with expertise in Computer applications, hails from the cultural city of Madurai. Trained under the esteemed Guru Neela Krishnamurthy, sister of Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, Charulatha's passion for Bharatanatyam ignited at a young age.
Her journey into the world of dance began with her arangetram in Madurai, graced by the presence of Padmashri M P N Sethuraman, the legendary Nadhaswaram Maestro. Since then, her graceful performances have adorned numerous stages for professional bodies, alongside participating in prestigious events hosted by Smt. Neela Krishnamurthy.
In 2005, she brought her expertise to Trichy, presenting the arangetram of six gifted children. Later, in Chennai, she established the Gnana Nrithya academy, where she passionately trains and nurtures young talents in the art of Bharatanatyam.
Her commitment to passing on this timeless tradition is evident through the Salangai Pooja ceremonies conducted for 100+ students, followed by a remarkable arangetram in Chennai. With a specialization in Nattuvangam, Guru Smt. Charulatha's profound expertise guides the upcoming generation of dancers on an enchanting journey into the world of Bharatanatyam.
